MileSplit Tennessee: Editor Update

Hello all,

I've been contributing to Milesplit Tennessee on a freelance basis since the spring of 2018 but as of this week, I am the new Milesplit Tennessee Editor. Some of you may know me already but for those that do not, here is a little background. Originally from Texas, I attended Tennessee Tech University from 2006-2010 as a member of the Men's Cross Country Program. Upon graduation, I taught and coached at Beech Senior High School in Hendersonville until 2017. After transitioning out of education into Information Technology, I was excited to continue my involvement in the Tennessee running community through contributions to this site.

As Will Boling exits this position to continue his career in Digital Media at 104.5 The Zone, first, I would first like to thank him for the opportunity he afforded me to contribute freely to the site for these last three years. Without his management, the network wouldn't have the solid standing it has as I take over. When I started in 2018, the @tnmilesplit Twitter account had less than 500 followers. Today, the account is just shy of 2000. The growth of the account was a byproduct of doing one simple thing: provide great content.

As I take over the plan is to maintain that framework as well as be your go-to website for race results, videos, photos, interviews, and feature pieces. As I said in my most recent article the year over year talent Tennessee produces as a community is something we should all take pride in and as Tennessee continues to produce national-caliber talent, I'm grateful to be the ambassador of this website through those local, state, and national achievements.

Feel free to reach out via email at tnmilesplit@protonmail.com and good luck this outdoor season.
