Jenna Hutchins did it again.
A month after breaking her second state record in the 3200m at the Music City Distance Carnival, the Science Hill junior started off the 2020 cross country season with another all-time Tennessee best.
Here's Jenna's dad with an update this morning from Chicasaw Trails.
That's Hutchins' third state record - she set the mile state best as a freshman at the Music City Distance Carnival in 2019. Kathy Kroeger had held the all-time state best in cross country (16:32) since 2006.
That's the fifth-fastest time EVER for a girl in the United States. And it's only 19 seconds off of Katelyn Tuohy's national record.
You couldn't have asked for a better debut for the Northeast Tennessee native - we can't wait to see what she does next.
