Ed Murphey Classic to Feature 1500m & 800m This Fall

The 2020 Ed Murphey Classic is still scheduled for August 22 in Memphis.

But like the Music City Distance Carnival, it's going to look a bit different this year.

The official meet twitter handle announced on Monday night that as of right now, the meet will feature the 1500 meter run and the 800 meter run.

As the tweet also says, there could still be a 5k on Friday night the 21st.

The USATF has announced that Olympic Trial qualifying marks can be posted until November 30th. So we could see some big names and very fast times run once again at this meet.

It's always a highlight of the fall for high school and pro runners alike to bring their talents to Memphis.
