High School Girls
 
Cassidy Hale - duPont Manual
 
What a way to start your high school career, two races, two victories.  This freshmen, running in her first varsity race at the Memphis Twilight Classic Saturday she hit the big time as she crossed the line first overall.  Her time of 18:46 stands as the #2 time in Kentucky for the 2009 Cross County season.  This freshmen is currently ranked #2 in the KYtrackXC.com Class AAA Rankings.  
 
 
High School Boys 
 
Evan Ehrenheim - Daviess County
 
As a sophomore last year, Ehrenheim was normally #4 or #5 on the senior heavy Daviess squad that won the 2008 KY Class AAA XC state title.  Now as a junior he has taken it to another level as the clear Daviess #1.  Saturday at the Memphis Twilight Classic he finished 3rd overall and cracked the 16:00 barrier for the first time ever running a 15:57, 25 second PR.  He is currently ranked #4 in the KYtrackXC.com Class AAA Rankings.
 
 
 
Middle School Girls
 
Emily Bean - St. Edward
 
Two races, two wins to continue a theme this week.  Bean, an eighth grader at St. Edward in Louisville won the 3000m Middle School race at the Shelby County Invitational last Saturday.  She ran her best time for the 3K of 10:19.91 to win the Tiger Run.
 
 
Middle School Boys
 
Dustyn Johnson - College View  
 
Yet another who fits the theme, two races, two wins.  Johnson, an eighth grader at College View Middle School in Owensboro won the middle school race at the Madisonville North Hopkins Invitational on Saturday.  His time was 8:49 for the 2500 Meter course. Both victories help mark a sucessful return from severe knee problems over the last year.
 
 
 
College Women
 
Katherine Peterson - University of Kentucky (Sacred Heart)
 
Peterson, a junior at the University of Kentucky finished second overall in the EKU Invitational Friday.  Running the race in three one mile legs, she had splits of 5:20.4, 5:36.8, and 5:35.2 for a total time of 16:32.4.
 
 
College Men
 
Michael Eaton - University of Louisville (Greenwood)
 
Eaton, a junior at the University of Louisville finished 2nd overall at the Mid-America Opener held in Evansville, Indiana.  He finished with a time of 18:08.91 for the 6000 Meter course.  Michael is permanently etched in the Kentucky State Record books as the record holder at the now closed campground course at the Kentucky Horse Park with a time of 15:06.
