Dustin Horter Runs US No. 3 In The 800 At Wayne Invitational

Dustin Horter continued his exceptional season on Friday evening.  This time, the Lakota East senior focused on the 800m distance at the Wayne Invitational, where he posted an outstanding time of 1:50.73 to win the contest by over six seconds.  Horter, who is coming off his US No. 1 showing in the 3200m at the Eastern Relays last week, is now ranked first in Ohio and third in the country due to his latest effort.  His time also represents a meet record, as well as a new pr.  Horter now resides in sixth place on Ohio's all-time 800m list.  The state record belongs to Marc Sylvester of St. Ignatius, who recorded a time of 1:48.76 at the 2001 Adidas Outdoor Championships in Raleigh, North Carolina.
