Indoor State Throwback: Hasty Beats Loaded Mile Field

This weekend, Tennessee's best track athletes will meet in Nashville for the Indoor State Championship.

And in order to get ready, we're taking a look back at last year's championship at Vanderbilt.

Carter Coughlin took out an aggressive race. In the first couple laps, he was all by himself in the lead, pacing a stacked field behind him.

Then Brodey Hasty started to close quickly. The Brentwood junior slowly worked his way up to the front, followed by his teammate Scott Thompson

Cookeville senior Conner Hawkins did a good job keeping pace with the two Brentwood runners. Hasty ended up crossing the line first, smashing his own meet record of 4:18. He won in 4:16. Thompson and Hawkins both beat that mark too, finishing second and third in 4:16 and 4:17 respectively.

Last year's competition certainly didn't disappoint. We're expecting big things from this weekend's race as well.
