Marshall County Invitational Recap
The sophomore show down between St. Mary’s James Maglasang and Greenwood’s Ryan Eaton was worth watching today at the Marshall County Invitational. On a unusually hot October day, Eaton came out on top with a time of 16:52.28 beating Maglasang by 19 seconds. Greenwood put two more runners in the top seven to win the Marshall County Invitational team title with a score of 52. Northwest (TN) was second with a score of 95.
Greenwood sophomore Kristen Smith won the girls race with a time of 21:01. Chelsea Reed from Kenwood (TN) was second with a 21:11. Graves County won the team title with a score of 76 led by senior Elizabeth Beach’s fifth place finish in a time of 21:43.
