May 16, 2007--- Tennessee High School senior Lili Zaldana (Bristol, Tenn.) announced this week she’ll run for the Lady Buffaloes of Milligan College starting this Fall.

Zaldana earned all-conference honors in track and cross country, all-region honors in cross country, and was a state qualifier in cross country all four years. She was named team MVP in cross country the last three seasons and owns a 3-mile personal best of 19:48 in cross country, and a 2-mile personal best of 12:19 on the track.

“Lili has tremendous potentially, so we’re obviously very excited she’s chosen to continue her running career at Milligan,” said head coach Chris Layne.

The daughter of Ana and Josue, she also received the all-sportsmanship award in cross country in 2003-4, and in track during the 2005-6 seasons.

Zaldana will join a women’s squad at Milligan that had back to back top 25 national finishes in cross country (6th) and indoor track (16th). Next Fall the Lady Buffs return all but one scorer in cross country, while everyone returns on the women’s track side.
