Louisiana Tech Places Seven in Top 10 on Final Day at Skechers Carl Kight Invite

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Louisiana Tech had seven marks finish in the top 10 as action concluded late Saturday at the Skechers Carl Kight Invitational hosted by Stephen F. Austin.

Aaron Orduno was responsible for a pair of top-10 finishes on his own at SFA, finishing third in the shot put with a throw of 51-8.25 (15.75m) and seventh in the discus, throwing 146-2 (44.55m). William Washington followed Orduno in both events, finishing eighth in the shot put (47-2.5/14.39m) and 18th in the discus (117-8/35.86m).

Tamario Lattin also excelled in the field with a high jump mark of 6-6 (1.98m) that tied him for fourth place.

On the women’s side, Camille Lott also had a fourth-place finish with a javelin throw of 133-0 (40.55m) while Denishia Henix finished eighth in the high jump with a height of 5-3 (1.60m).

On the track, Kameron Sheffield finished fifth in the 100m with a time of 10.95 and ran 22.46 in the 200m to finish 14th.

The top sprinter on the women’s side was Danielle Zenon as she ran 12.39 in the 100m dash to palce 17th.

Louisiana Tech returns to action next weekend as Tech travels to El Paso for the UTEP Invitational.
