State Track Meet

Good job at the TSSAA State Track Meet. Some came in ranked 16th but no one left the State 16th. Best finish was Zac King who finished 10th in the 400 missing the finals by half a second running his second best career time 50.87 (which is the Rhea County men's best 400 time at a State Meet). Tori Blackmon ran a PR of 1:02.02 to finish 12th (ranked 15th). Josh Moffett ran the exact same...

NEW RECORD(S)

Congratulations to Madalyn Garland for setting a new school record with her 5:39.57 in the 1600. The old record was 5:42 set by Kathleen Thomas in 1982. Ok new school record set at the Section Meet by Mady. This time in the 3200, she broke her own record of 12:33 with 12:01.67.

Great State Meet

So proud of my Lady Eagles. You achieved what others thought you couldn't. Every goal you set for yourselves this year you either achieved or surpassed. Seniors, you will always be remembered as the FIRST. Because of you, the future is nothing but bright. 2 RCHS firsts for us. 1=running in the state meet as a team. 2=Our first lady's Cross Country All-Stater. Way to go Mady!

RUN RHEA RUN Thank you seniors for your leadership. With our 2010 season behind us what a great foundation we have built. Lady Eagles historal 1st trip to the TSSAA STATE Over 20 (PR's) set by both Lady and Mens Eagles at the JESSE OWENS CLASSIC. Lady Eagles 2nd place finish @ TSSAA REGION AAA The furture of this program as coach says 'IS NOTHING BUT BRIGHT' I can't wait until next year when both MEN & LADY EAGLES will qualify for the STATE. The 2010 Cross Country season is upon us. What we have this year is the opportunity to begin something very special in Rhea County. We have a team and coach to be proud of. This season lets work hard, we will have our highs and lows. Let's run, pratice and cheer together and make this season a season to remember for everyone.
