18th Annual Houston Track Classic
April 8th and 9th 2011
Houston High School - Germantown, TN
Date 4PM Friday, April 8th and 10AM Saturday, April 9th
Awards Medals to the top three places, including relay members. Trophies to the top 3 teams (boys and girls). Special awards to the outstanding individuals (boys and girls) and a single outstanding performance of the meet.
Invited Schools Schools from Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Kentucky and Alabama
Facilities Houston has a 7-lane, all-weather track. Track was renovated 2009.
Entry Fee The entry fee is $75 per boys team and $75 per girls team. Payment must be received no later than Friday April 8th. Make checks payable to Houston High School with Track Classic Entry Fee written on the memo line.
Entry Limitations Each team will be allowed a maximum of three (3) entries in each individual event and one (1) entry in each relay event.
Qualifying Standards THERE ARE NO QUALIFYING STANDARDS
Individual We will follow TSSAA rules. A contestant shall not be entered in more than four (4) events, excluding relays. A contestant shall not compete in more than four (4) events, including relays.
Finals All races will be SECTION VERSUS TIME, except for the races on Friday evening with preliminaries. Distance and Sprint Medley Finals will be Friday.
Timing Fully automatic timing will be used in all running prelims and finals.
Entry Deadline All entries are due no later than Wednesday, April 6th 11:59PM. You will need to register online at www.tennesseerunner.com for the Houston HS Track Classic. Registration obligates your payment of the $75 entry fee. PLEASE enter ASAP! You will receive no reminders. This is the same website used for TN sectionals.
Heats All heats will be seeded according to times given.
Event Check In Field events will check in at the event location. Running events will check in at the large black tent at the south entrance of the track to receive lane assignments and hip numbers. Athletes should check in at second call of their event.
Scratch Policy Scratches are strongly discouraged but allowed. Please use discretion.
Coaches Meeting There is no coaches meeting.

Dressing Facilities Sorry, there are no dressing facilities available. Please have your athletes dressed and ready to compete.
Hospitality A hospitality room for coaches and sponsors will be provided. The location will be in the Varsity Gym office. Please use the South entrance. Food by the
World Famous Rendezvous BBQ.
Admission fee $5 per day
