Meet Information

28th Annual Marshall County Middle School Track Invitational

Marshall County Middle will be hosting the 28th Marshall County Invitational this year at South Marshall Middle School on April 21, 2018. We want to welcome you to this meet and thank you for letting your athletes perform on a wonderful track.

Meet Time and Date: April 21, 2018. The meet will begin at 12 noon with field events. Scratch/add will be available to all coaches until the first call. After the first call, no more changes will be allowed. First call for field events will be at 11:45 A.M. All athletes must report by second call. Running events will begin at 12:30 P.M.

Entry fee: $40 for a boys team and $40 for a girls team. A full team will be any school that has more than 4 athletes. Any school bringing 3 or less individuals will be asked to pay $5 per individual.

Entries DUE: Entries are due by APRIL 19th at 3 pm and need to be done ONLINE at www.kytrackxc.com Email me for more information.

General Meet Information and Meet Format: Take notice that the entry forms include some events that are for 7th grade and under (100 Meter Dash and 1600 Meter Run.) These events will also be contested with 8th grade as well, but we want to give some of the younger competitors a chance to shine as well. NO ATHLETE MAY PARTICIPATE IN MORE THAN FOUR EVENTS. Running events will be seeded according to the times sent in by the coaches. The fast heat for each event will be the last heat. We will follow the standard high school order of events. We will have TRIPLE JUMP, 300 METER HURDLES, POLE VAULT, and TURBO-JAVELIN as events. ALL runners in ALL races will need to report to the marshalling area near the pole vault pit by the second call for their event.

**High Jump will start at 38 for the girls and 44 for the boys. All the coaches that have athletes that are long jumping and high jumping need to make sure they report when they are called.

Awards: Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams. Medals will be awarded to 1st Place with ribbons going to 2nd place through 6th place. Medals will go to first place in the relays, with ribbons going to 2nd and 3rd place.

Scoring: Scoring for the meet will be 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for open events and relays and will be done using Hytek Meet Manager software. Timing will be done using FinishLynx Fully Automatic Timing.

Admission: Admission will be $3 for adults and $1 for students.
