Welcome to Oakland High School today and hope your athletes compete well and excel for their efforts. Our hope is that we provide an acceptable, fair, and enjoyable venue for competition.

Facility: Oakland High Schools track is eight lanes and consists of an all weather sealed surface. All spikes must be inch or shorter.

Equipment: You will need to bring your own shots, discus, but they must meet weight standards at weigh in time. 20 minutes prior to the event. Weigh-in is at the event. We only have 6 starting blocks. You may want to bring your own.

Entries: You will need to enter your team on Tennessee Runner.com. Only the top three individuals on a team in each event may score. Additionally, each school may only score one relay. You can enter more, they just wont score. A participant can enter up to 4 events.
Special Note: Any Varsity athlete who participates in the JV championship meet will be BLOCKED by Tennessee Runner in that same event at the County Varsity Championship Meet.

Field Events: 3 attempts in the high jump at each height and 3 attempts at long jump/triple jump/shot/ and discus.

Gate: $3.00 admission for Adults. Children under six are free.

Fee: $50.00 entry fee per team (boys and girls) (pays for scorekeeper, announcer and starter blanks, awards).
Make Check Payable to Oakland High School. You can bring your check to the meet. Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. 1st and 2nd place team awards.

Rules: We will use the National Federation rulebook for any rule disputes.

Timing: No FAT. All times will be hand held.

Events There will be coaches meeting 4:45 pm at the White tent. Each school will need to provide a timer.

Field events will start at 5:00 pm (Each athlete will be measured for at least one attempt followed by attempts that meet the minimum standard set at each field event). If an athlete is competing in a field event and a running event that overlaps. He or She will need to tell that field event judge up front, when they report in, that they are in a running event and may have to leave during the course of the event. They will also, need to tell the field event judge upon 2nd call of that event, that they are leaving and will return 10 minutes after the event has concluded. The announcer will announce the conclusion of each event. Example: This concludes the Girls 400m dash. You now have 10 minutes to report back to your field event.
