    July 30, 2007-Aug. 19, 2007 Dead Period Aug. 20, 2007-Jan. 1, 2008 Weight training and conditioning permitted. No open facilities and no practice. Jan. 1, 2008-Feb. 11, 2008 Weight training, conditioning, open facilities permitted. No practice Feb. 11, 2008 Practice begins. After team is eliminated from tournament series, coaches may be involved in a coaching capacity with students in their school in summer programs or on non-school teams. End of school until June 22, 2008 No practice regulations June 22, 2008-July 5, 2008 Dead Period July 7, 2008-July 26, 2008 No practice regulations

  • Hawkins to compete for Milligan College

      David Crockett senior Brendan Hawkins  (Limestone, Tenn.) announced this week he'll run for the Buffaloes of Milligan College next Fall.   Hawkins, a cross country All-Conference and All-Region performer for Coach Mike Sweeney, finished 45th at the 2007 Tennessee State Cross Country Championships in Nashville.  He has also received All-Conference honors on the track during both his sophomore and junior seasons.

  • TSSAA Board of Control Actions (Jan. 2008)

    Voted to change the first practice date in girls' softball, baseball, soccer, track, and tennis from February 16 to February 9. Approved proposal from Collegedale Academy to move the date of State Cross Country Meet from Saturday to Friday.

  • TEN TO JOIN THE TSSAA HALL OF FAME

    The 2008 TSSAA Hall of Fame inductees have been selected.  Ten new members will be inducted into the TSSAA Hall of Fame at the annual luncheon at the James Union Building on the MTSU campus in Murfreesboro on Saturday, March 15.  This is the same day as the Division I boys’ basketball finals, which will be held at Murphy Center on the campus of MTSU as well.
