BMS XC Teams Remain Undefeated and Capture Regional Titles

The Brentwood Middle School girls and boys cross country teams are on a roll! Both
teams were undefeated in their regular season, and both went on to close out their fall
competition in a convincing fashion, taking the Williamson County Cross Country
Championship titles at Woodland Middle School on October 5th.

On Saturday, the teams competed in the Mid State Cross Country Association Middle
School Championships at Macon County High School. Both teams continued their
winning ways by taking the girls and boys varsity regional titles in fashion as they won by
a landslide! The girls squad, fielded by Emily Hughes, Hannah Caldwell, Abby Shealy,
Abigail Ezell, McKenna Morello, and Emily Jay ran brilliantly. Their total team points
was only 43, less than half of their nearest competitor, St. Matthews Middle, who scored
95 points. Oakland Middle was third with 97 team points. The BMS boys team
consisting of Ryan Lee, Ben Bautista, Thomas Bautista, Taylor Vroon, Jackson Vroon,
and Matthew Hughes won in equally convincing fashion. Their total team score of 75
points, again was almost half of St. Matthew’s Catholic School’s team points, 144, who
finished in second place. Dickson Middle school finished third with 158 points.
