McCallie XC Third At Jesse Owens Classic
The McCallie cross country team finished third in the Gold Elite Division at the Jesse Owens Cross Country Classic in Oakville, Ala.
The meet featured 136 boy's teams and over 1400 individual runners.
Under near perfect conditions McCallie was led by Matthew Jones who covered the 3.1 mile course in 16:02.
Jones was followed by Adne Andersen in 16:10, Ramsay Ritchie 16:16, Derek Barnes 16:46 and Tommy Ellis 16:59.
McCallie's number six and seven runners were Reece Rose with a time of 17:01 and Will Moore in 17:09.
Brentwood High School from Nashville won the meet and Walton High School of Atlanta finished second.
