Coaches:
Charles Oliver, from CoachO, has agreed to help set up a USATF Level 1 course for us in February around the date of the Vol Classic Indoor Meet at Stokely. The course runs from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon and provides a survey of coaching fundamentals as they apply to track and field and cross country. Level 1 certification is necessary in order for coaches to move on to level 2, which is more event-specific.
Cost of the session if you pay in advance is $125 and $150 if you pay on site. In order to set this course up we need to guarantee between 30-40 coaches, so I am asking for your reply in order to gauge interest. Please do so by replying to me, indicating whether you are interested in the course at all and whether mid-February is a workable time for you.
