Two St. Benedict track and field stars signed National Letters of Intent

 Two St. Benedict track and field stars signed National Letters of Intent in Track & Field with the University of Memphis Tigers (Div. 1.-Conference USA). Meagan Nichols and Allison Hotz will join the Tigers track team next season – Nichols as a distance/runner and Hotz for field events. Nichols will also run cross country for Memphis.

State participant in 4 x 800 for 3 years in a row…

2007-4 x 800 Region Runner Up

2008-4 x 800 Region Champions, 3rd in State; 4 x 400 Region Runner-Up, 8th in State

2009-4 x 800 Region Runner-Up, 7th in state

4 x 800 ranked in Commercial Appeal’s Top 3 in 2008, 2009 (#1 in 2008)

Commercial Appeal’s Best of the Preps All-Metro, 2007, 2008, 2009

Personal Bests:

1500 (5:24)-3rd in 2009 State Junior Olympics Tournament, qualified for the Region Tournament

800 Meter Run - 2:29.36

Holds school record in 4 x 800, Distance Medley
