Rebecca Story is one of the fastest athletes Tennessee has had in some time.
And on Wednesday night, she announced where she'll be running in college.
Story will be heading west to join the Stanford Cardinal, she announced on Instagram/Twitter.
With her time of 17:22 at the Cherokee Farm Invite, Story has the fastest time in Tennessee this season by nearly 30 seconds. That's also the No. 26 time in America so far this season.
Last season, she was third at the Foot Locker National meet. Since 2014, she's nearly undefeated in the state of Tennessee. That's ten wins out of 11 races within the state borders.
She's joining a Stanford team that's currently one of the top ranked teams in the country.
The Cardinal are ranked No. 14 in Division I. They're also the No. 5 team in the West Region.
Stanford is a perennial powerhouse, finishing fifth at the NCAA Championships last season.
Story chose the Cardinal over Baylor and Georgetown.
