Fresh off her college signing, Rush-Henrietta Sperry senior Sammy Watson ran the 4th fastest time in the country in the 3000m. Watson dropped a 9:50.01 at the Runnin' Cadet Classic on Saturday afternoon.
Rounding out the top three places were Webster Thomas' Amanda Vestri who ran 9:52.72 for US No. 9, and Churchville-Chili senior Anna Kostarellis who ran 9:55.51 for US No. 13.
Watson also ran Friday night at the Victor Invitational dropping the new US No. 3 time in the 800m of 2:05.71.The race was only her 2nd 800m of the outdoor season.
