The 22nd annual UTC Powerade Invitational

 The 22^nd annual UTC Powerade Invitational will be held on September 6^th, 2008 at the Moccasin Bend National Park in Chattanooga, TN.  The 20 team field of outstanding participants from Tennessee and Georgia will include schools such as, Brentwood Academy and Father Ryan of Nashville, Rossview High School of Clarksville, Blackman, Siegel, and Oakland High Schools of Murfreesboro, Morristown West High School, and local favorites GPS, Cleveland High School, andRed Bank High School.  Georgia will be represented by several North Georgia schools.  The Boys Blue Invitational will begin at 11:00 a.m., the Girls Gold Invitational will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by the Silver division race at 12:00 p.m.  Kicking things off will be the Chattanooga Track Club Open 5k Cross Country race at 8:30 a.m.  Race day registration begins at 7:30 a.m.

            On Friday night, the UTC Running Mocs will be hosting the college division of the Powerade Invitational, also held at Moccasin Bend.  The women’s race will begin at 5:45 p.m. followed by the men’s race at 6:15 p.m.  Headlining the field of 10 schools competing will be SEC powers, Alabama and Auburn.  Results will be posted at www.gomocs.com.  For additional information, contact UTC Head Coach Bill Gautier at bill-gautier@utc.edu .
